Therapy for Kids (ages 5-12)

We are passionate about working alongside children and their families to provide support and help create a plan of action. In therapy, we offer a structured environment where children actively participate in interventions, including therapeutic role play, written activities, organizational skills, and coping skills for difficult emotions (anxiety, anger, depression). We also involve the parent(s)/guardian(s) in the therapeutic process to ensure kids are taking what they learn and applying it at home and school. We will develop a routine for therapy so kids know what to expect when they come and are prepared to work while having fun in the process! Commonly addressed concerns include:

  • Anger management
  • Anxiety (panic attacks, phobias, obsessive/compulsive behavior)
  • Depression
  • Irritability
  • School refusal
  • Trauma
  • Learning challenges
  • Attention and concentration issues
  • Planning and organization tools
  • Issues with homework
  • Dealing with divorce and loss
