Some areas that Couple’s Therapy can address:

  • Conflict

  • Stress/transitions

  • The relationship losing its spark

  • Infidelity

  • A loss of feeling connected or loss of intimacy

Working with a therapist can help to repair and restore the relationship, so that the individuals can come together in their pursuit of having a more rich and meaningful life. Couple’s therapy begins with an assessment and involves one session together, one separate individual session each, and then ongoing work together (couple and therapist). Couple’s therapy may also involve intermittent individual work. If more consistent individual therapy is needed by either partner, the therapist will refer them to an outside therapist who can work collaboratively along with the couple’s work.

Sessions are 60-90 minutes depending on the needs of the couple. The primary treatment modalities used in Couple’s Therapy are Gottman Method and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Couple’s work may be covered by insurance. We will discuss all fees upfront.
